We meet at the appointed place, get acquainted with the group, check the gear and take the journey to Termalny (Thermal) settlement where we switch to snowmobiles.

Mutnovsky is one of the most active volcanoes of Kamchatka situated in the south of the peninsula. Altitude is 2322 m. The volcano consists of four craters with diameters up to 2 m, which are created by ancient explosions. Even in winter one can visit the crater of Mutnovsky Volcano approached it by snowmobile. During the excursion we’ll watch the volcanic activity: fumaroles, boiling pots, columns of steam, and visit a waterfall 80 m high!

Departure
We undergo briefing about safety and driving a snowmobile and drive out to the Mutnovsko-Gorelaya group of volcanoes.
65 km of beautiful landscapes are waiting for us! We’ll pass by snow-covered forests, mountain rivers, stop by the brook called the Silver Spring and on the Vilyuchinsky Pass, a natural observation deck. Rest with hot tea and taking spectacular pictures. The view of snowy volcanoes Vilyuchinsky, Goreliy, and Mutnovsky will stand out in your memory forever!

Arrival to the bottom of the volcano
Transfer to the crater
A stop at the foot of Mutnovsky Volcano, rest after a long drive and a short walk before going to the crater.

Visit to the crater and the fumarole field
Lunch
We reach the edge of the crater by snowmobile and go to the fumarole field on foot. There columns of steam come from the snow blanket and go up to 1000 m, mud pots don’t stop boiling even in winter. Uncovered colorful walls of the crater look cosmic against snow-white slopes.
Lunch, free time for a walk, taking pictures. On the way back we pass Opasniy (Dangerous) Waterfall with the height of 80 m. It is not fully frozen and covered with ice, representing dance of ice and water splashes.

Transfer to the Snow Valley mountain lodge
Bathing
We bid farewell to Mutnovsky Volcano and set off to the Snow Valley mountain lodge. Get warm and recover in the thermal pool.

Departure to Termalniy settlement
Return to the city
The final spurt remains — a short drive by snowmobiles from the lodge to Termalniy settlement where we get in the car and set off back to the city.
